Colesbourne Park

'England's Greatest Snowdrop Garden'

SNOWDROP TOURS

A private weekday visit to the snowdrops at Colesbourne Park makes an ideal winter excursion for your gardening club, society or group of friends.

We offer exclusive tours for groups on weekdays during February. Tours are guided by Sir Henry Elwes or Lady Elwes and Head Gardener Arthur Cole and give a uniquely personal look at the snowdrop collection and the gardens. Tours start at 11am or 2 pm.

The tour includes a short presentation that includes the history of Colesbourne Park and the Elwes family and a brief introduction to the amazing diversity of snowdrops. This is followed by a guided walk around the grounds, giving the opportunity to see both the massed plantings and the collection of rare snowdrops. Coffee & tea with homemade cake or biscuits is served on arrival or departure. Plants are on sale.

The minimum group size is 20, maximum 50. Groups may visit by coach or in private cars, with good parking available. The cost is £14.00 per visitor, including refreshments, introductory talk, and guided tour.

As tours are popular early booking is advised. Please contact the Estate Secretary on 01242 870264 or e-mail info@colesbournegardens.org.uk to discuss your requirements and available dates.
